This is the 8th painting in a series of 9 that I call Waters Edge. I painted them for the Waterfront Art Show that I will be attending as a vendor on July 29th and 30th in Webster, NY. The show grounds are located in a park near Lake Ontario, one of the five Great Lakes in North America. I live on a lake and my love of the water inspires many of my paintings. To create the texture in this painting I used individual strands of burlap and arranged them one by one in the curved pattern. The texture adds an element of undulating waves and curves in the shoreline of the lake. These can be purchased individually or in groupings since they all complement each other. I personally like them in groupings of three.
