I created this pair of 8 × 8 Echoes of Time I & II paintings while experimenting with a new technique that gives the surfaces a weathered, antique appearance. Layers of color and texture create a sense of history, as though each painting holds traces of another time. The process was one of exploration and discovery, allowing unexpected effects to become part of the finished work.
